About Selected Player
We work globally to promote international talent development and strengthen the health and well-being of young people by encouraging more children and adolescents to continue playing floorball as they grow older. Our vision is to contribute to the development and growth of floorball as a sport worldwide.
Our core idea is to help players aged 10–16 who want to become the best floorball players they can be, to reach their full potential. We do this by offering high-quality and career-building camps that always guarantee new steps forward in the participants’ individual development and build the best foundation for players to achieve their full potential in the future.
Many of today’s elite and national team players have attended our camps during their formative years, which proves that our camps play a crucial role for players aiming high in floorball. Read what some of them think here.
Our History
The founder is former national team player Jonathan Kronstrand, who started Selected Player in 2006. During the first camp, 30 players were invited. Today, over 37,000 players have participated in Selected Player’s camps worldwide. This shows that Keytraining, the unique training method developed from the beginning and combined with tournament play, truly works. That’s why we offer a development guarantee at our camps. Since the start, players from Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, the USA, Norway, Denmark, Ukraine, Singapore, Japan, and China have improved through our camp programs.
Founded by National Team Player Jonathan Kronstrand
The founder is Jonathan Kronstrand, a three-time world champion. Jonathan’s goal with Selected Player was initially to offer camps with the best training programs for players who want to become the best floorball players possible during the critical formative years of 10–16. His goal is still to provide the most enjoyable and rapidly developing start for young players with the ambition and desire to become excellent floorball players and to build the best foundation for those who want to play at a high level in the future.
Jonathan began his career in Sweden with the club Haninge BK and made his senior debut at the age of 14. Together with the club, he won three Swedish championships, two European Cup titles, and three World Championship titles with the national team – in 1998, 2000, and 2002.
