“It’s no secret that all the Selected Player camps have been crucial. The best players of my generation have been there. I did my first camp when I was around 11–12 years old. I liked from the start that it was technique based and gave me a great foundation for a lot of the techniques I use in SSL.
All the camps I have been to have been highlights of the season. Above all, it has been great to meet like-minded people who really want to invest in their floorball and who have the same goal, to become as good as it is possible to be.
It’s five days with a hard focus on technique training. Training you can’t get any other way. The environment at a camp like this also gives you extra energy to keep up the pace, focus and adrenaline to train all the time at a high level.
You feel almost unbeatable after full days of just floorball. Above all, the camps are fun. My generation has gathered around the Selected camps and many of us have looked forward to them. In the long term, what you’ve trained for is automatically ingrained in your spine.

I think I’ve gotten better at the way I approach one-on-one situations. Always being able to practice this detail of my game has given me the confidence to take other important steps in my development. The bonus has been that there are details that you can take with you to your club team. It has also felt like a privilege to be part of the Selected Player camp. Everyone wants to move forward and have fun together.”

“I think it was a very well planned and organized camp. The training sessions had clear focus areas, technique, floorball and physics – something I really appreciated. Furthermore, the week ended with a tournament, which is always the most fun. To play lots of matches and then be tested in the abilities that you have practiced during the week. Give and go is something that I have really taken with me further into my career!”

“I think Keytraining is a good specific training that develops your technique to new levels, you got to train on different scenarios that you will encounter during a match for example. Selected Player in general is a fun camp where you got to meet lots of new friends but above all practice lots of floorball!”

“I think SP had a positive effect. Firstly, you got the chance to play and train with other talented players at a young age, and secondly, there were many talented and ambitious leaders who I think helped me develop and helped me gain a better understanding of the goalkeeping game.
KeyTraining helped me to create a foundation for how a goalkeeper should act which I then built on. I would of course recommend Selected Players training. It helps you develop as a player but is above all really fun and memorable!”

“Being a leader is both fun and very educational. At the same time as you try to teach young people technique, you develop a lot yourself. At the Selected Player camps, the players are always determined and driven by their sport. Like me, they want to take the next step in their development. That encourages me. I grow as a player and a person when I am given responsibility.
It’s important to practice and practice to become good and confident in your feints. Small details that are good to practice on and when playing on the field. If you can make your player and become a threat to the opponents, you are attractive to any team. Such a detail can be crucial for young girls or guys who have a little low self-confidence to dare more on the field.
If you are confident and secure with your club technique, you are more likely to find new feints past an opponent or hit a good pass. Good technique gives you more time on the field with the ball and you simply get a little head start. Selected Player has been very important for my own development as a floorball player. And camps that I have always looked forward to as a player and now also as a leader.”

“I think the Selected Player program gives the player a very broad development for the future. The program is very varied and created according to the player’s individual development with exercises adapted to the player’s needs and development.”

“Selected Player has definitely helped me to become a better floorball player. The training focuses on details and repetition, which has had a good effect on my technique. You notice immediately after a camp that it has paid off and you can use your technique at a higher speed.
The camps are not only developing for floorball but they are also incredibly fun. It’s great to get to know so many others who are passionate about floorball.”

“I think Selected Players’ approach is very good for young people. Useful techniques that you train on that you can use during the match. Really recommend going on Selected Players training courses!
It has helped me a lot to have a basic technique to rely on, I gain a lot of time on the field when I can keep my eyes up while I was the ball. Also things like protecting the ball help me a lot today.”

“I think Selected Player is an incredibly good step at the beginning of your career. It gives you the opportunity to practice technique and become best friends with the ball. You also get to play floorball with new friends, which is very instructive for your development in floorball but also the ability to cooperate. To this day, I still have several friends that I first met at Selected Player, it’s cool and fun. At Selected Player you develop both as a floorball player and as an individual.”

“Selected Player is the camp where I have been able to take the next step in the technical where I have developed every day and get to practice things I have great use of during the match. All techniques are useful and incredibly important and useful to know to develop your game and take the next step in your career. In addition to floorball, SP has also been the most fun of the whole year as I have met friends for life who are also passionate about floorball and to develop as much as I do. A camp I will always remember.”

“I remember Selected Player as something positive and fun in my career. It was one of my first and biggest floorball camps. I met many new friends and got tricks and tips for the future. The structure of the days with floorball and fitness training and free time for lots of other fun suited a young Ellen perfectly.”

“I loved attending the SP camps at a younger age, it was the perfect opportunity to meet new friends and play floorball. SP’s technique training has been very rewarding for me, even though at the time it felt hard to have to grind for hours.
Today I use my individual technique when I attack one on one, and can solve tricky situations when I am pressured by the opponents behind my own and the opponents’ goal cage.
It was also a great experience to work as a leader at one of the SP camps. You got to meet many young players who you got to follow for a week and the most fun was that you saw great development of the players at the end of the week, unlike the first day.
Some of those I trained have continued to develop and become real talents today, for example, some players have entered RIG, Riksidrottsgymnasiet. I got to know many new friends, such as Moa Dynefalk, who is one of the people I got to know and with whom I am still in contact today, we even played the U19 World Cup together.”
